Ashley Judd takes on ‘Tooth Fairy’

Ashley Judd has signed to join Dwayne Johnson in 20th Century Fox upcoming comedy "Tooth Fairy" - which is scheduled to start filming in Vancouver in October.

Variety reports Michael Lembeck will direct the film with Blumhouse's Jason Blum and Mayhem Pictures partners Gordon Gray and Mark Ciardi producing.

The screenplay was written by Lowell Ganz, Babaloo Mandel, Joshua Sternin, and Jeffrey Ventimilia.

The plot follows a hockey player (Johnson) who is dubbed the Tooth Fairy. Judd has signed to play his girlfriend – who is also a single mother of two kids.

Judd will return to the big screen on Oct. 24th with the Weinstein Co. film "Crossing Over." She last had roles in the indie films "Bug" and "Come Early Morning."
