'X-Files' Chris Carter hospitalized

The "X-Files" creator Chris Carter has been hospitalized for exhaustion.

The writer, producer, and director of "The X-Files: I Want to Believe," was hospitalized on Tuesday due to "physical exhaustion and an acute sleeping disorder," a source close to Carter revealed to EW.com.

It was the unrelenting work load Carter had taken on that the EW source cited as the casue.  His full recovery is expected shortly.Sponsored Links:

The source stated, "working on multiple films back to back over a two year period" was the reason he was admitted.

Carter is reportedly working on "Fencewalker", a film rumored already in production.
