Kristin Davis' HBO ban

Kristin Davis' parents didn't watch 'Sex and the City' until her grandmother died.

The 43-year-old actress said her mother and father refused to subscribe to HBO, the network 'Sex and the City' was originally broadcast on, because they didn't want her grandmother who lived with them to see the explicit TV show.

She said: "In the beginning, my parents didn't even have HBO and they weren't about to get it because my grandmother lived in the house with them and they didn't want to her to get a glimpse of her granddaughter in bed with some guy! But after she died they subscribed. Then I had to call my mom every week and go, 'I'm taking my nightie off so don't watch!' "

Kristin also revealed she was relieved she didn't have to star in any sex scenes in 'Sex and the City: The Movie'.

She added to Parade.com: "I didn't really miss it. Previous to getting on the show I was very uptight about that stuff. Simulating sex was a strange part of our jobs. There is no debate about that. It's a strange thing!"
